One of the music venues I HAD to go to while in London was Royal Albert Hall. I've watched so many concerts or plays or musicals on television through the years to miss this opportuni

I looked a few months ago at the calendar for while I was going to be in town, but I wasn't really that excited for anything. However, the one show that did peak my interest was Space Spectacular (yes, it sounds lame). It was really cool though----the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra played songs from movies and tv shows that had a space theme...Like Star Wars, Superman, ET, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, etc. Songs from the Planets written by Holst (totally reminded me of high school band) and other overtures.

Not only were the arrangements beautiful with the full orchastra, but the show as a whole was amazing. It was filled with lazer lights, smoke and even fireworks....in a covered hall, I thought that was pretty amazing. At the end Darth Vader and Storm Troopers even made an appearance. I'm by no means a Sci-Fi guru or even a big fan, but this show was pretty darn cool.
